@JoshLachkovic Itโs definitely getting worse. Ghosting or massive delays in sending feedback. Not only is it rude, it also makes it impossible to effectively plan. Inevitably if/when they do come back, they then expect the agency to act at the pace of light to get things going.
@JoshLachkovic@danbarker@DoctorChrisVT A lot of people argue about the definition of UPF too. We donโt know all the answers. Lots of research adjusts for the salt / fat / sugar so itโs not about that. In some cases itโs the processing, which changes the way our body responds to food; in others itโs the ingredients.
@JoshLachkovic In reality if you have very minimal UPF then itโs unlikely to cause long term health problems but the reality is weโre all consuming a lot of UPF without meaning to.
@JoshLachkovic Lots of evidence to show its addictive, linked to long term health problems (high blood pressure, diabetes, stroke) even when adjusted for fat / salt / sugar. And causes weight gain, even when compared with identical cals / macro intake.
@hazard_leah @DoctorChrisVT I find this a really difficult topic. Many women will miscarry after eating very โhealthyโ diets with no UPF, others may not have access to the whole foods mentioned. Laden with challenges and Iโd be keen to know what tangible solutions can be offered alongside the data.
