#WATCH | Delhi | SEMICON India 2026 |Lars Reger from NXP Semiconductors in Netherlands, says, "The interaction was very good, not only with the ministers but also with the Prime Minister. Yesterday, we had a very fruitful CEO roundtable as well... The focus was on how we can build systems that enable a complete Indian electronics industry, not just a semiconductor industry. What we are looking at worldwide is a future that anticipates intelligent systems all around us—small robots and connected devices everywhere... We have all this silicon, but we need to train our customers and help them apply it quickly. This is an area where the Indian market is expanding rapidly at the moment, and we need to educate and support as much as we can..."

He also says, "From both the government side and the industry side, we are discussing the next steps needed to support a broad student base, customer base, and startup ecosystem. We are running startup competitions, and I am actually on my way to one now that we are organizing together with Minister Goyal, to ensure that the ecosystem receives the support it needs. My comparison has always been that the Indian market is like a tiger that is ready to jump. Everyone knows India as a major R&D hub. For the past 50 years, NXP and its predecessor companies have been involved in research and development here, including hardware and software development. That is already well established. What is emerging now is the growing demand within the Indian market for electronic systems. That is extremely exciting, and we need to be well prepared to serve that market and ensure that people understand what is possible. It is a technical exercise, but it is also a communication exercise, and that is what makes it so exciting."

My professional journey spans nearly eight years across technology, public policy, digital transformation, and international development, working across consulting and government, including with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, and Ernst & Young.

My work has ranged from shaping initiatives in AI, Digital Public Infrastructure, and semiconductor policy to leading technology transformation programmes across fourteen African countries. I'm passionate about bringing together stakeholders from government, industry, academia, and startups to create meaningful impact.

Ms Marion van Schaik, Agriculture Counsellor for India, Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands (@NLinIndia), accompanied by Mrs Kruti Urs, Chief Representative, Netherlands Business Support Office and Mr Prasad G Parte, Senior Policy Advisor, Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Mumbai, visited NDDB, Anand. Dr @ShahMeenesh, Chairman, NDDB, participated virtually, while the delegation interacted with senior NDDB officers on NDDB’s journey, activities and potential areas of collaboration.

The delegation was briefed on India’s dairy transformation and NDDB’s work in cooperative development, productivity, animal health & nutrition, breeding and genomics, training and capacity building. Areas of for convergence were also deliberated with special emphasis on sustainability and innovation, regenerative agriculture, soil health, natural farming and manure management. The delegation also visited @DairyAmul, NDDB’s Sustainable Farm Management Demonstration Unit and explored initiatives at Mujkuva village.

@DairyAmul, Anand, had the privilege of welcoming Ms. Marion Van Schaik, Agriculture Counsellor for India, Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands (@NLinIndia), accompanied by Mrs. Kruti Urs, Chief Representative, Netherlands Business Support Office (NBSO), and Mr. Prasad G. Parte, Senior Policy Advisor, Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, on 10th September 2026.

The delegation explored the remarkable journey of the Amul movement, from its inception in 1946 to its evolution into a globally recognised symbol of India’s cooperative dairy sector.

Following the visit, the delegation had a meaningful interaction with Dr. Amit Vyas, MD, Amul Dairy, focusing on understanding dairy initiatives, digital innovations, knowledge exchange and opportunities for stronger collaboration.

Appreciating Amul’s transformation and impact, Ms. Marion van Schaik remarked, “Thank you so much for showing us your impressive journey from 1946 to 2026. The Netherlands is very much involved in the dairy sector. Keep up the good work and keep this spirit going.”

The visit reaffirmed the shared commitment of India and the Netherlands towards innovation, sustainable dairy development and knowledge exchange, while strengthening avenues for future cooperation.

Yesterday, Ambassador Marisa Gerards interacted with the students of the South Asia University about Women, Peace and Security (WPS) in a changing world order, highlighting the impact of the WPS agenda in various countries over the last 26 years since the adoption of UN resolution 1325.

During an engaging Q&A-session with students, many subjects were touched upon from the realisation, interpretation and challenges of the WPS agenda to concerns about the changing global order we live in.

When asked to share some personal advice with the female students, the Ambassador’s message was: dream big; don’t let self-doubt limit your potential; seek role models, pursue opportunities, and aim for leadership positions.

We warmly congratulate Captain (Navy) Geordie Klein on his induction as the 18th International Liaison Officer – and the first representing the Netherlands – at IFC-IOR. His presence adds a Dutch and European perspective to the Centre’s important work on information sharing, maritime domain awareness and maritime security.

This is another concrete step in our growing maritime cooperation with India and reflects our shared commitment to keeping the seas safe, secure and open.

Captain (Navy) Geordie Klein was formally inducted today as the Centre’s 18th International Liaison Officer and the first #ILO representing the Netherlands.

The Netherlands’ presence at #IFCIOR further strengthens the Centre’s collaborative architecture, adding a valuable European maritime perspective to #InformationSharing, #MDA and #MaritimeSecurity across the region.

The occasion marks another step forward in India-Netherlands maritime cooperation, underscoring a shared resolve to keep the seas safe, secure and stable.

Hi! My name is Maurits Bosman, and I am excited to join the Economic Department of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in India as Delegated Representative Water.

My professional journey through the Ministry of Finance, Invest International, Ministry of Economic Affairs (RVO) and FMO (Dutch Development Bank) allows me to contribute extensive knowledge of Dutch funding modalities, specifically for public infrastructure projects in the water sector. In this role, I look forward to translating shared Indian-Dutch ambitions into concrete water programmes and initiatives. Through close collaboration with Indian and Dutch partners, I hope to connect water solutions with policies and governance approaches to enable scalable and impactful cooperation on the ground.

NL-IN 🇳🇱🇮🇳 partnership for cleaner fuels and greener mobility.

Ambassador Marisa Gerards met Hon’ble Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari, to discuss how the Netherlands and India can advance cleaner fuels and accelerate the transition to sustainable mobility. Their conversation highlighted cooperation on turning waste into value for society, cities and transportation.

The Netherlands is already working with India to scale biogas technologies, deepen research partnerships on the bio transition, like the utility of bio based materials for roads, and leveraging Dutch expertise in cycling infrastructure to promote cleaner, healthier mobility lifestyles.

Yesterday the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, H.E. Marisa Gerards, signed the book of condolences at the Embassy of Nepal in New Delhi, conveying our heartfelt sympathy to government and the people of Nepal following the devastating floods.

Our thoughts are with all those affected. We extend our deepest condolences to those who have lost loved ones, and strength to all who are still awaiting news.

We commend the efforts of the Nepalese authorities and first responders working under very difficult circumstances, and continue to closely follow the situation.

Chief Election Commissioner and Chairman of the Council of Member States of International IDEA, Shri Gyanesh Kumar, today met Her Excellency Ms. Marisa Gerards, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to India, New Delhi.

Both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to strengthening democratic cooperation, in line with the vision set out at IICDEM 2026. They also agreed to work closely together to deepen collaboration on election management and the training of election staff.
