As we celebrate 15 years of impact, we're looking back at the stories that remind us why this work matters. In Arua District, one of our peer educators under the #ProtectSRH has been on the frontlines of a battle that Reach A Hand Africa has stood against since our earliest days: child marriage.
Child marriage remains one of the most persistent threats to girls' futures across Uganda. It pulls girls out of school and often leaves them isolated, facing stigma and negative talk from the very peers who should be supporting them. Behind every statistic is a girl whose choices were taken from her too soon.
This is the heart of #ProtectSRH, and it's the heart of why Reach A Hand Africa exists. Fifteen years in, the fight to protect girls, keep them in school, and give them the power to shape their own futures continues.
