Hey @DoorDash, I just wanted to inform you that I probably will not miss you when I move over to @Grubhub.
Hands down one of the worst experiences I've had with a company, lots of war stories of missing orders and missing items but today was the last straw when I got hung up on.
> be Tom Hardy
> start drugs at 11
> expelled for crack and theft
> say you'd sell your mum for a rock
> wake up at 25 in blood and vomit
> get sober. stay sober 23 years
> replace it with the gym and martial arts
> become bane. mad max. venom
> sneak into a local BJJ tournament as "edward hardy"
> choke out a stranger who didn't know it was you
> become a trustee of the veterans charity you fight for
> in 2026 get fired for being too intense
he survived everything except a producer's email.
GOOD!
Seriously, this is huge because this is the kind of thing VAs have been rallying against, their voices being used without their permission. Rooting for Tsuda, obviously.
This man robbed a bank for $1, sat down and waited for the police, just to get free healthcare in prison
In 2011 a man named Richard James Verone walked into a RBC Bank in Gastonia, North Carolina
Handed the teller a note demanding $1
One dollar
Then sat down in the lobby and waited calmly for police to arrive
He was 59. No job. No insurance. A growth on his chest. Two ruptured discs.
Calculated that a federal conviction would guarantee him full medical coverage inside prison
The judge sentenced him to 3 years
He got the surgery
He got the treatment
He told reporters on the way out he had no regrets
A 59 year old American man robbed a bank for $1 because it was cheaper than seeing a doctor
told my parents (boomers) that people my age refer to gen x as “the lead paint generation” and my mom didn’t believe me that it could’ve impacted their development that severely until she googled it and read it out loud while looking like this
People do realize he made this himself to pitch and that’s how he got the opportunity right?
They didn’t just give him this job without proving himself first
I have a theory : The reason earthbenders and airbenders don’t have some crazy celestial boost like Sozin’s Comet or the full moon is because their bending is already tied more to mentality than outside power.
Earthbenders get stronger the more unshakable they are. That’s why people like Bumi and Toph were doing absolutely insane stuff with no special event needed moving whole buildings, changing landscapes, inventing new subbendings just off skill alone.
And airbenders are lowkey the scariest ones once they stop holding back. Their whole culture was built around peace so we barely saw what airbending could really do until Zaheer started folding people with it suffocating people, flying, moving like a ghost.
Fire and water need the sky to boost them. Earth and air just become broken once the bender themselves levels up.
