National Law University Jodhpur (NLUJ), through its Centre for Constitutional & Administrative Law (CCAL), conducted the second session of the Savitribai Circle for Intersectional Constitutional Thought, a recurring reading and discussion circle exploring systemic inequality through the text and evolving jurisprudence of the Indian Constitution. The session engaged with Mahasweta Devi’s Draupadi to examine substantive equality, gender, dignity, marginality, and the rule of law through an intersectional constitutional lens.

The International Stakeholder Consultation on “Caregiving and Long-Term Care Law in India: Towards a Legal Framework for Care” concluded at National Law University Jodhpur, with meaningful deliberations on caregiver recognition, elder rights, policy, social protection, technology, and long-term care.

With participation from WHO South-East Asia Regional Office (WHO SEARO), Caregivers Asha Society, and leading national and international experts, the consultation marks an important step towards building a comprehensive legal framework for care in India.
