These people are not destroying public infrastructure. They're actually working for the construction company who is expanding this road.

It's becoming a usual strategy by most of these construction companies especially the Chinese and Lebanese owned ones, to allow locals demolish these slabs and take the rods in place of payment.

Please, stop spreading this false narrative.

Mr Peter Obi today attended the funeral service of Elder Etim Edet Umoh in Oron, Akwa Ibom State.

Elder Umoh was a renowned administrator, a distinguished public servant, and a man widely respected for his uprightness, honesty and integrity. Even while serving in INEC, an institution that has often faced serious allegations of corruption, he remained committed to the values of integrity and public service.

He was also blessed with remarkable children, among whom is @EstherUmoh10 , the official photographer of Mr Peter Obi, a valued member of the POMO family who continues to honour her father’s legacy through her own dedication and service.

We extend our deepest condolences to the Umoh family, friends, colleagues and the people of Oron on this painful loss.

May the soul of Elder Etim Edet Umoh, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in perfect peace. Amen.
