I’m very happy to see Ferrari comprehensively outperforming Mercedes, but facing Leclerc at his home aged 40 will be Hamilton’s toughest test.

He’s moved away from being a qualifying specialist - which may help Lewis in that fight - but Lewis will not be able to just outpace Leclerc in a race like can do with Russell so often.

Leclerc is truly an elite driver and Hamilton faces the toughest challenge of his career so far.

If he wins that challenge, that will be one of his greatest achievements.
