Today, we’re excited to introduce Miso One, the most emotive voice model in the world.
Miso One is an 8-billion-parameter text-to-speech model for highly expressive speech generation. It emotes like a human and responds faster than a human, with just 110 milliseconds of latency.
We’ve open-sourced the model weights, with API access coming soon.
Hear how Miso One sounds in the thread below.
Personal update: I've joined Anthropic. I think the next few years at the frontier of LLMs will be especially formative. I am very excited to join the team here and get back to R&D. I remain deeply passionate about education and plan to resume my work on it in time.
i use ai for a lot of things but the best use case so far has been copy pasting my coworkers slack messages into claude asking it to explain to me what they are saying when i don’t understand
I think the consumer market is getting really exciting right now. There are still so many small gaps in everyday products that nobody’s fixing.
A couple days ago I launched an alternative to DocuSign/BoldSign, and honestly the signals have been pretty bad. Most people just don’t feel enough pain to switch from DocuSign.
Drafting + collaboration features are nice, but not painful enough for people to actively pay for a new solution.
So I’m switching gears a bit and focusing more on consumer apps.
I might be a stranger on your timeline, but if you’re reading this and there’s an app you wish existed, reply below. Looking for inspiration.
It’s honestly been amazing to watch how quickly people can go from ideation to having something tangible to demo before overcommitting to building.
That realization really hit home for me because of where I came from with building things. Back when I first got to uni (freshman/sophomore year), I started Popfame, which eventually evolved into Lawnstack. But before Lawnstack, I spent over $60k across two years hiring offshore engineers to build a platform that ultimately didn’t work (yeah… not my brightest moment).
When we started Lawnstack, we basically had to rebuild everything from scratch.
Now, fast-forward two years: it’s honestly insane. With a couple of days and maybe $100 spent on Claude, you can build something polished enough to demo and validate with real people. The friction between ideation and execution has compressed so much that the gap is almost nonexistent now.
I built a Docusign/BoldSign alternative for early-stage founders.
Right now, we draft contracts in Claude or ChatGPT, then copy and paste everything into Google Docs, invite teammates/co-founders to review the doc, download it as a PDF, and then upload it again to collect signatures. It felt like way too many steps to do something so simple.
So I built Corner, a platform that lets you draft, review, collaborate with teammates, manage contracts, and sign all in one place.
At first, I was tempted to build “Harvey for independent operators,” but I realized most people don’t want that. What they actually need is a simple platform where they can draft and collaborate on contracts seamlessly. The core value is being able to draft + collaborate + sign in one place. Everything else is just carrots.
Let me know if this would help you in any way before I flesh it out further and launch it.
