NMJD held a one‑day training in Kamakwie for 30 women leaders and 25 aspiring leaders, drawn from Masidama groups, KWiG and KYWIGN. Sessions focused on Leadership, Governance, Civic Education and Electoral Laws.

NMJD, with the support of Trocaire and funding from Irish Aid, is currently forming a ten (10) new Masidama groups (comprising 5 male and 5 female groups) across five communities in Karene District. The communities involved include Kampolon, Kakonso, Kagbaligbali, and Kakuru.

NMJD & BAN Plan 2026 Social Audit
NMJD met with BAN to set the scope, timeline, and info sources for the 2026 social audit on mining revenue transfers. The audit aims to boost transparency and accountability in how mining funds are used in affected communities.
