Families who identify as Muslim are invited to attend a healing circle for staff and families led by identity-specific practitioners on Oct 20, 2023 from 7:30-9:00 p.m.
These sessions are free of charge and anyone in YRDSB may attend.

June 1st marks the beginning of Indigenous Peoples Month, which is a time to celebrate the history, heritage, resilience and diversity of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples.

Our grades 4-8 classes were involved in a series of wellness activities and workshops today. A special thank you to our guest speakers and NMPS wellness team organizers.
In support of creating Black Affirming spaces, we have celebrated Black Excellence in many ways, including daily announcements recognizing influential Black Canadians
For the last day of our kindness campaign students will be creating kindness stones and writing thank you cards to loved ones! Students and staff are also wearing light blue as the colour is associated with peacefulness and calm.
The snow won’t stop our kindness! Today is day 3 of our Kindness Campaign and our Kindness Board is complete! Students and staff are also wearing purple today as the colour represents unconditional self love, compassion and sensitivity.
Today is day 2 of our Kindness Campaign! Pink Shirt Day represents anti-bullying awareness and is also a colour associated with compassion. Today our students will be completing an Acts of Kindness lesson that will fill up our Kindness Board!
Kicking off our Kindness Campaign this week with morning high fives and the colour green! Green symbolizes kindness because it is associated with nature and rebirth.
January 27th marked -Int’l Holocaust Remembrance Day to honour the nearly 6 million Jewish people who were targeted and murdered during the Holocaust.
We must remain committed to eradicating antisemitism.
