Today at State House, Entebbe, I welcomed the Chairman of MTN Uganda, Charles Mbire, and his team.
We held good discussions on the telecommunications sector and its role in driving socio-economic transformation, innovation and service delivery. I commend their continued contribution to Uganda’s development.

Demonstrating their commitment beyond financial contributions, @mtnug staff participated in improving the physical play environment for the pupils. They worked to dig, level, and shape the ground, creating a vibrant and much-needed play area for the children at Queen Best – Queen Olimi Legacy Village, stressing the fundamental belief that play is also a right.
Furthermore, MTN Uganda extended its support to the educators and students at Queen Mother Best Primary School. Recognizing that digital skills open doors to boundless opportunities, the Y'ello Care team, in collaboration with the MTN Skills Academy and its partners, empowered young minds in Fort Portal with essential tools to thrive in our increasingly digital world.
What a great day in Fort Portal city. From supporting Queen Mother Best Orphanage to empowering women and launching a digital hub for learners… today was filled with impact, joy, and purpose.
