@AnnaKennedy1 Have signed Anna. I have outlived my daughter but know how real it feels to worry about it being the other way round. Don’t forget - create the boys a Smart Healthcare Record (https://t.co/5PztIjAXpW) and capture all the information others need to know.

@AnnaKennedy1@UKChange Not just behind you Anna - up there with you carrying the banner. This country could be world leaders for inclusion and care. Parents should be able to age gracefully in the knowledge that their grown up disabled children are safe with a good quality of life. It can be done.
After only a few hours we are almost at 400 signatures !! . This campaign is close to soo many parents hearts and a constant worry for when we are no longer around.
Please sign and retweet thank you . https://t.co/ZhnC7jpgJk #disability#autism#socialcare
@AnnaKennedy1 I remember days like that Anna. Families like yours face daily battles that are exhausting in mental and physical terms that is beyond belief. It’s only love that keeps you going. Take care of yourself. Give yourself a huge pat in the back. Mums/ Dads like you are heroes.
Our #LeftInLockdown survey found that families with disabled children had seen their incomes go down & their expenditure rise; with 1 in 5 expecting to go into debt as a result. DCP member @WellChild have produced a guide on where you might be able to get more financial support
In the 1980’s we armed ourselves to fight for support for our disabled children. 40 years on no change. More than fed up about this. Write to me [email protected] and let’s get a sensible system sorted for parents and professionals now and in the future.
Not only broken, but torn from their families until their untimely premature ends.
Funding?
Plenty ring-fenced legal funds for wobbly CSCare to wreck people’s lives, failing in their duties all along ie unlawful
No one cares
They really don’t care

It's #CarersWeek and in the current circumstances it has never been more important to raise public awareness of the reality of life for parent carers of disabled children #SecretLifeOfUs#SecretLifeInLockdown
With #CarersWeek starting on Monday, take a minute to write to your MP and ask them to #MakeCaringVisible by pledging their support for millions of unpaid carers and getting involved with the activities taking place.
