Gianni Infantino never expected Donald Trump and the USA to take credit for the suspension of Folarin Balogun’s red card. That’s where they messed up, because the USA is always about taking credit!
Power is the most important thing to them, and they don’t understand the culture and rules of football. They don’t!
Infantino seriously underestimated how power hungry the USA is. He seriously played himself!
This isn’t about the red card being suspended for the USA. It’s about them saying, “We can control FIFA,” just like they brag about controlling the world.
This is why politics has no place in football.
Trump on Balogun:
Balogun is our best player. He got a red card. I didn't know what that meant, but then I heard that it means you cannot play in the next game.
That's very unfair. How do you penalize him for a game that hasn't been played yet?
I asked for a review by FIFA.
Built the squad from scratch. From the bottom.
Went on the longest unbeaten run IN THE WORLD.
Best run at AFCON since 2000 at AFCON 2022.
Qualified for FIFA World Cup.
Our best ever run at a FIFA World Cup.
Please respect Coach Hugo Broos.♥️🇿🇦
South Africa actually look a decent team when they actually try and play football.
If they get knocked out, it’s because they were far too passive in the early stages. Poor management.

Thanks to a recent SCA ruling, your car dealership (and financing bank) have to break down that extra “dealership” or “on-the-road” or “delivery” fee for you. Transparency!
The buyer of a used car at a franchised dealer in KZN had to ask for the breakdown of his R9900 “delivery” fee last week.
He eventually got it today. Guess what his “gift” cost him?
R550. Plus interest if he didn’t pay that fee upfront.
It’s not a gift if you pay for it, right?
So maybe tell them to keep their “gift” and take your own 🍾 or 💐 for that “look at my new wheels!” pic for socials 😁

When those who lead lose touch with those they serve, they become the enemies of the very people they swore to advance. VAT is a regressive system by its very nature, which means the poorer you are, the harder it hits you. So I really struggle to understand how anyone who claims to be progressive and pro-poor can think it makes sense to penalise the most vulnerable (mostly their own constituency) just to fund civil salary increases. It makes no sense at all! Increasing VAT by 13% is cruel and completely out of touch. I’m beyond disappointed. Since 1994, not once have you considered increasing the corporate tax rate…not once🤷🏽♀️ Instead, it kept going down. Why not increase it back to 30%? because even if you do, companies still have tax deductions and other benefits. The poor have no such luxuries🤷🏽♀️ Considering that the apartheid government survived for a long time with a corporate tax rate of 50%, you can’t convince me that 30% is a lot.
