I know I am a lefty Labour voter, but am I the only one not that bothered by this "free gear Keir" scandal? It's the tiniest drop in the ocean compared to the Conservatives and the millions/billions of pounds in contracts (taxpayers money!) given to their mates. #bbcqt
Not a day goes by when I don’t celebrate the downfall of this shifty, incompetent undercooked muffin, still gurgling his way nonsensically through his trail of mess to anyone strong enough to listen.
We're giving away a bundle of Prima Facie goodies to celebrate the play's return to cinemas tomorrow🤩
The bundle includes a play text signed by the creatives including Jodie Comer and @SELFESTEEM___.

JUST BEEN LEAKED NOTE BY HEAD OF TORY CAMPAIGN (the one standing in for the one on leave of absence courtesy of William Hill) MEMO ALL CANDIDATES … THE REALITY. 1. We cannot campaign on our record because nothing has improved since we took office. 2. The biggest change we made last Parliament was Brexit and we can’t campaign on that because the people who hated it hate it more and the people who liked it know we have ballsed it up. 3. We can’t campaign on our leaders because we have had five in eight years which suggests none of them were very good. 4. We can’t campaign on Labour being a risk to security and the economy because nobody can do worse than we have and anyway people seem to think @Keir_Starmer is pretty decent and he is for sure not Corbyn. 5. So LADS, all we have left is this … behave like we have lost, it’s all over bar the shouting, towel thrown in, and hope to God millions of people don’t bother to vote us out because they think somebody else will do it. I know it’s desperate and a bit anti-democratic but needs must. We’re shit and we know we are and so this is it!!! Fuck everything up. Crash the car. Make ourselves look even more unelectable and useless at campaigns. Willie Whitelaw used to talk about travelling the country stirring up apathy. That is all we have left. Do it. Talk up supermajority. I know it is meaningless but it is the only way to stop the superdefeat we all know we deserve. Cheers. Btw we’re having Sunday drinks 1pm. BYOB 🍾 🥂 ps new slogan. STAY AT HOME. DON’T VOTE. KEEP THE TORIES haha!!
What a few of us have been warning about for +5 years is now playing out in real-time. The total reconfiguration of the UK to a rogue kleptocratic, climate-destroying, corporate-owned, and corporate-governed dystopia.
Rinse and repeat greenwashing, private sector profiteering stories like Teesside and the East Midlands across 12 more Freeports and 74 Special Economic Zones (SEZs), a Tory initiative backed by Labour as board members on Sunak's nationwide Freeports/SEZs consortia.
Each Freeports sits inside an SEZ that ranges between 38 to 75km in diameter, these free zones are licensed for 25 years and tax-exempt for businesses for 10 years.
Each SEZ receives £160 million in State Aid (public money) from the Govt, this distorts markets creating an unlevel playing field. Know that this practice of Govt's giving astronomical sums of public money to companies is prohibited and strictly regulated in the EU.
Why?
To prevent Adam Smith's 'invisible-hand' of laissez-faire put trust in companies to 'self-regulate'.
You only need to look at private UK water companies' track record for abject lessons with dire consequences in Britain's rivers, waterways, and beaches being pumped full of shit, while fines issued are mere slaps on the wrists compared with the massive profits made by all the companies involved.
Critics argue that the invisible hand does not always produce socially beneficial outcomes, and can encourage greed, negative externalities, inequalities, and other harms.👇🏻🫧💩💷💷💷💷💷

Common impacts of deregulated free zones are job displacement, money laundering, arms, drugs and human trafficking, atrocious employment rights, lack of union representation, environmental pollution, land-grabbing, stolen art, private banking, and tax haven status.
I absolutely despair.
Victoria Derbyshire, "Voters are now more likely to say they would vote to rejoin the European Union than to stay out"
Isabel Oakeshott, "Is it a pro EU organisation @UKandEU that did the research? They're pretty favourable towards remain"
Nicholas Watt, "There is a YouGuv tracker which asks the question has Brexit worked.. Rejoin the EU is going up"
Isabel Oakeshott, "I'm not going to sit here as a staunch Brexiter and say this thus far has been a fabulous success; it hasn't been done properly"
Victoria Derbyshire, "Are you surprised the LibDems aren't making much more of this?"
Jo Swinson, "It's a very different election campaign.. We gave people a choice in 2019.. People made their choice.. Since we have had the pandemic.. War in Ukraine.. There is much more favourable opinion on the EU.. But there isn't the appetite yet for another referendum"
Strange how people acknowledge the will of the British people is to rejoin the EU but then come up with excuses for why we aren't following the will of the British people 🤷♂️
