The current and growing Nigerian population in Canada suggests they would have continued eating Air Canada’s lunch.

The postal system was the cheapest and most widespread communication network operated by Nigeria's colonial government. Most places had a simple post office or postal agency.

The images may have been staged, but it captures the essence of a colonial communications system that almost anyone could use. This is the system on which @NIPOSTNG was built.

Our #ImageOfTheDay shows three children posting letters at a pillar box in colonial Nigeria.

The image is undated, but the period can be discerned from the crowned symbol GR, which meant Georgius Rex, and is Latin for King George.

This Royal Cypher (symbol) was used to indicate the reigning sovereign on official items like military insignia, government buildings, and post office boxes.

This is apt Sir. The capitalist ethos has constantly evolved, but never disappeared.

For example, our leaders train and treat themselves and their families abroad, because our slave-worthy institutions are not good enough for them.

Then they bring them back to take public office and ultimately become the Massas of the plantation.

Air Canada begins regulatory processes to launch Lagos flights in 2027

Air Canada says it plans to commence scheduled flights to Lagos in 2027.

The plan follows the expansion of the air transport agreement between Canada and Nigeria.

In a statement on Thursday, the airline welcomed the Canadian government’s announcement of the agreement and said it has begun the process of obtaining the necessary regulatory approvals to operate commercial flights to Nigeria.
