Two major public comment opportunities are happening right now in the drone industry:
1.FCC discussions regarding the future of DJI and the proposed ban
https://t.co/uDLe2RjeJX
2.FAA discussions regarding drone operations over sensitive areas & critical infrastructure

It’s in every drone pilot’s best interest to weigh in with thoughtful, technical, and accurate arguments. The future of the industry is being shaped right now.
The rule for drone flight restrictions at critical infrastructure sites, known as Section 2209, has been a LONG time in the making -- nearly a decade since originally mandated by Congress. The proposal will be open for public comment.
F.A.A. Proposes Rule for Drone-Free Zones
The FAA has designated all FIFA World Cup stadiums and event spaces as strict “No Drone Zones” and says it will impose criminal fines of up to $100,000 for flying aerial devices near them.

The FAA quietly imposed a nationwide drone restriction that prevents filming ICE and other federal agents within half a mile. It’s an attack on the First Amendment. https://t.co/6zZsJN2M7h

Minneapolis-based photojournalist Rob Levine filed a petition for judicial review Monday in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia, directly challenging NOTAM FDC 6/4375 — the FAA security notice that bans all drone flights within 3,000 ...

!! The FAA announces there were two more recent close calls between a passenger jet and a helicopter.
On Feb. 27, AA 1657 and a police helicopter nearly collided on Feb 27 at San Antonio International airport.
On March 2, a private plane and helicopter were on converging courses before the helicopter pulled away to prevent a collision at Hollywood Burbank airport.
NTSB Chair @JenniferHomendy has warned, repeatedly, that a mid-air collision could happen at Burbank because of heavy airspace traffic.
Don't exceed any flight restrictions like beyond line of sight or 400' AGL.
If you need help or training, VTPhotoTours offers in-person and online drone instruction and workshops. https://t.co/qq2PCZImFR 3/3
With the FBI now warning about possible Iran Drone attacks on US soil, it's more important than ever to ensure you're flying 100% legally. Register your drone with the FAA at https://t.co/nJVkQPkRCn and label your drone correctly. 1/3
Pass the FAA Trust test and have the certificate with you while flying. Use an LAANC app like AutoPylot to get authorization for each flight. Check the flight restrictions for your area before flight at https://t.co/QBSBDn9CkJ. 2/3
@UAVHive@wdejager If police were permitted to shoot at things they believed to be drones, absent some genuinely lethal imminent threat, I think there’s a high probability that manned helicopters and airplanes would have been shot down in New Jersey/New York in 2024, and in Denmark/Belgium in 2025
To think these kinds of incidents are those the police themselves have weaponised against the drone industry.
Here it is especially bizarre as police say they were at 200ft, the witness says not.

@NiallJournal_ie@thejournal_ie This statement is easy for any journalist to tear apart if they chose to, the Brussels drone has been proven to be a police heli, Copenhagen Airport are on the record the "Russian drone" there never was...
DJI owns 90% of the civilian drone market not because of espionage—but because they make good hardware and the U.S. doesn’t make anything at all. 11/15
BREAKING: The Pentagon’s hottest drone startups are just patriotic middlemen for Chinese supply chains.
DJI didn’t win because of espionage.
It won because America forgot how to build things.
