NI-KI has every right to speak up when his privacy is violated, and he should never have to apologize for setting boundaries.
He was attending another artistโs concert, not his own. He was there to enjoy the performance, and someone secretly filmed him, potentially exposing the friend he was with. He expressed his frustration and asked people to approach him politely instead. How is asking for basic respect such a terrible thing?
What is even more frustrating is seeing people turn this into an excuse to attack him. Some are upset because he didnโt express himself the way they wanted him to, while others are using his nationality against him, telling him to go back to his country. For what? Speaking up about his own privacy? Since when did being an idol mean giving up the right to feel uncomfortable, say no, or call out behavior that crosses the line?
Buying albums, concert tickets, and merchandise, attending every event, or subscribing to his DMs does not give anyone ownership over him. Your support does not entitle you to his personal life, constant attention, or access to him whenever you want. You chose to support his career, but that doesnโt mean you get to dictate how he lives or how he responds when his boundaries are crossed.
You can disagree with how someone expresses themselves without turning it into a reason to hate on them. And there is absolutely no excuse for racist remarks. NK deserves respect regardless of his nationality, just as he deserves privacy regardless of his status as an idol.
What is concerning is how comfortable some people have become disrespecting NK. The moment he speaks up for himself, some people act as though he has personally betrayed them. He is a human being, not someone who exists to satisfy every expectation his fans have of him.
You are a fan, not his owner. Your money doesnโt buy you control over his life, and your support doesnโt give you the right to disrespect him. If you only respect NK when he says and does what you want, then you don't respect him at all. You only respect the version of him you think you're entitled to.
He doesnโt owe anyone unlimited access to himself. He deserves to enjoy his personal time without being secretly filmed, to set boundaries without being attacked, and to speak up without having his nationality used against him.
Supporting an artist should never mean expecting them to surrender their privacy just to keep you happy. Respect NK as a person, not just as an idol you expect to meet your standards.

we all know nk care sm for his fans, and he wouldnโt hurt them, but seeing even the so-called โfansโ turn on him & twisting his intentions? is so sad to see
I was genuinely so confused as to why many were so angry, I read many different views, and no Iโm sorry but many are being so unfair to him, โwhy did he use the DM to send such messages? we arenโt subscribing to hear that rant โ I donโt know maybe because he feels more comfortable with his nikpeus ? he felt comfortable enough to open up and vent about the issue? also for a reason all Iโm seeing is โwe have been patient for so longโ etc. what about him ? he deals w such invasion since day1 including from ppl who claim to be โhis fansโ, yet the moment he actually speaks up, sets a boundary, and asks to be respected, suddenly itโs a problem?
he sent 42 replies last night, yet ppl r ignoring all the other messages where he was being so warm with his fans, chatting with them, asking about their day, telling them about his day, wishing them well, and celebrating engeneโs day. and only focused on the five replies where his tone was understandably firm because he was addressing what had happened to him, I donโt get it why should he have to sound cheerful or sugarcoat his words when talking about something that made him uncomfortable? he was straight forward with his request to ask for privacy and he has all the right to do so, if you werenโt the one secretly filming him or ever invaded his privacy before, then his words werenโt directed at you in the first place. so why take it personally? why twist his words to make them fit you and then get angry over something that wasnโt even aimed at you? and the whole argument that this is just a โcultural thingโ he should learn to โendureโ is so?? since when does being an idol mean having to tolerate every invasion of your privacy or disrespect without being allowed to speak up ????
these idols are human beings too. they have feelings, and boundariesโฆ I just wish ppl would be more kind and understanding to nk, he doesnโt deserve any of this.
yk what baffles me every single time? whenever #they start complaining, all they do is throw around โuโre a kpop idol blah blahโ like whatโs the definition of โidolโ to these ppl? itโs so twisted itโs like they donโt view these idols as human beings whatsoever. and act like spending money on someone automatically gives them the right to control them and dictate how they should act.
anw, i hope nk keeps doing whatever he likes, keep being himself& living life on his own terms, and continue giving these ppl the reality check they so obviously need.๐ซก
itโs honestly so frustrating to see people villainize riki everytime he sets boundaries, itโs honestly the first idol i see get this amount of hate for asking for respect and privacy. This is genuinely getting ridiculous ๐ซฉ
