Ambitious explorer, articulate storyteller and proud @Olympics commentator. Sport aficionado. Professionalism with passion. I live to turn reality into magic.
And so it begins. The 35th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations is a couple of hours from kick-off. Morocco have arrived and the Atlas Lions are inspecting the magnificent pitch in Rabat as drizzle descends. Morocco vs Comoros to follow. I have goosebumps about this tournament.
I could highlight his legendary NBA achievements that saw him into the Hall of Fame, but frankly, he was a far greater human being. A larger than life character. A man who did so much for so many, at times anonymously. His humanitarian work defines his legacy. RIP Dikembe Mutombo

Lastly, I want to thank every one of you who contacted me during Paris 2024. I appreciate every gracious word. I do not take you for granted, nor my responsibility lightly. It has been my privilege to again serve you. And it has been my honour to again serve the Olympic Games.
As I bid au revoir to Paris, I want to thank Olympic Broadcasting Services for giving me the opportunity to work at my 6th Olympic Games. Thank you to my colleagues, old and new, who enriched my experience at the Games of the XXXIII Olympiad...
I want to thank my family for sacrificing all they do to allow me to be at every Games. And to the athletes, congratulations to those who achieved milestones, success and goals and thank you for the captivating magic that makes the Olympic Games more than just a sports event...
They say never meet your heroes to avoid disappointment, but I did and Dingaan Thobela was fabulous. He was a bright, funny and articulate boxing world champion. "The Rose of Soweto" was one of my favourite athletes, who captured hearts worldwide. His legacy lives on. May he RIP.
I am devastated by the news of Siphiwe Mkhonza's untimely passing. A great player and a joyful man with a zest for life, we had many years of fun together. He was so cool that he commentated with a cap on under his headphones. Condolences to his family and friends. RIP Dr Mnandi
A man whose legacy lives on... Thank you for keeping his memory alive. I still miss Cebo terribly. He taught me so much and will forever remain one of my greatest influences.
What a humble guy, Duane Dell'Oca, I remember meeting you at the sasol filling station on the N1 enroute to Polokwane just after the relaxation of covid restrictions and we walked together inside the store to grab drinks, wow, what a gentleman ๐ค
Thank you for saying so, Kabelo. Yes, I'm still doing commentary, but not exclusively football. I continue to work on the world feed for several international events.
