DARBAR SAHIB VISIT BY IRAN DELEGATION:

Sikhs For Justice (SFJ) Calls Upon SGPC and Akal Takht Sahib to Reject India’s Attempt to Project Sikhs as Supporting Iran

Sikhs For Justice (SFJ) has issued a direct call to the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) and Akal Takht Sahib not to fall into a calculated trap orchestrated by the Government of India, which seeks to create a false global impression that Sikhs of Punjab support Iran in any conflict with the United States.

“Khalistan Sikhs are ready to pick up arms for America in a war against Iran,” declared Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, SFJ General Counsel.

AMERICA STOOD WITH SIKHS — AFTER
• Successive Indian governments have committed genocide and economic destruction against Sikhs
• From the 1984 attack on Darbar Sahib to the November 1984 Sikh Genocide
• Punjab was turned into a killing field through state repression, enforced disappearances, and extrajudicial killings
• Today, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Sikhs continue to face an existential threat for asserting their political identity

SFJ reminded SGPC and Akal Takht Sahib that:

“It is the United States that stood for justice and human rights when Sikhs faced genocide after 1984 and beyond.”

“Pro-Khalistan Sikhs fleeing persecution in Punjab, after India turned it into a killing field, were supported by none other than America.” Stated Pannun

IRAN SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO POLITICIZE DARBAR SAHIB:

SFJ stressed that:
• Darbar Sahib is a spiritual center, not a geopolitical platform
• SGPC and Akal Takht Sahib must remain independent of state-driven narratives
• Allowing such visits to be misrepresented globally risks compromising Sikh political identity

“Do not allow Sikh institutions to be used to serve India’s foreign policy objectives,” stated Gurpatwant Singh Pannun.

SFJ REMINDS: NO STAND TAKEN ON KHALISTAN

SFJ further noted that SGPC and Akal Takht Sahib have yet to take a clear stand on the Khalistan movement.
