@BGatesIsaPyscho Live video probably has one of the lowest priorities assigned to it, so it has most likely only limited bandwidth. Also, why stream live in HQ and waste bandwidth when the astronauts can just bring footage back?
@intel1776@Osinttechnical Even if the US is independent, oil is priced on a global market. If oil can't pass the Strait of Hormuz, supply decreases and prices rise everywhere, regardless of where you import from. That is just the reality of supply and demand on a global market.
@THWOMPSQUAD@Defence_Index 2)This crisis affects us all (even the US), because markets work by supply and demand. Only 3.8% of the oil goes to Europe and 2.5% to the US and still prices increase quite a bit. Trump tries to force countries to help him, so he can fully focus on Iran, but no one is listening.
@THWOMPSQUAD@Defence_Index 1)So the US attacked a nation without consulting it's allies, caused a huge oil crisis and now want's its allies to help them protect the strait of Hormuz (outside of NATO), which only needs protection because of the US? No, that would only reward Trumps treatment of it's allies.
@THWOMPSQUAD@Defence_Index Even from a pragmatic standpoint it makes no sense calling allies useless for not parttaking in a offensive war while being in an defensive alliance, this is just not how NATO works. The only time NATO article 5 was invoked was because of 9/11 in help of the US.
@THWOMPSQUAD@Defence_Index NATO is a defensive alliance not an offensive one. The US started a war most people don't want, so why should anyone help you fighting it? This US administration is an aggressor that treats it's allies like shit, there is no reason for support.
@mrgrump111@MAVERIC68078049 If oil would regenerate faster than we consume it, atmospheric carbon dioxide wouldn’t be increasing, because the carbon released by burning oil would be reabsorbed during the formation of new oil. So a simple co2 meter or a second of thought disproves this.
@Heeehooooo@salingergregor RAM capacity does matter. MacOS is more optimized (than Windows), but the apps it runs aren't; e.g., Electron apps are RAM hogs. If you want more optimization, you can just dual boot Linux and be even more optimized than macOS. But the better CPU/APU of the Neo is a fair point.
@saaaanjjjuuu Probably a reason: Save money while making higher end models still attractive. They could add some of them with rather low cost, but then you wouldn't have to buy an more expensive model to access those features.
@TheChiefNerd The Brain consumes about 20w, one H100 GPU 700w, it takes 4600 hours for one H100 to consume as much energy as a brain has done when turning 20. AI Datacenters have typically have thousands of GPUs and this is not counting Power consumend by CPUs, RAM, Storage and extra cooling.
