We need more research, inclusivity, balance and clarity. We need to wield the powerful the tools of science with transparency, using better statistics, more consultation and more cooperation. Under-represented voices must join the discussion. All expertise has value.

But owing to decades of inequity, there are huge gaps in our knowledge of sex and gender -especially in medicine. This can leave cis women as well as trans, genderqueer, intersex folks etc. in the dark about their healthcare needs.
