Saying "I didn't die from corona so it's not a big deal" or "I haven't caught it yet so it's not a big deal" has the same energy as "it's cold outside so global warming isn't real" and you look stupid
“the knicks playing like they have tits and not balls well the most recent team to win a championship in new york was the liberty so maybe the knicks should play like they have tits!!!!!!!!
Lori and I are thinking of the Pittsburgh community, as we remember the 11 Jewish Pennsylvanians who were murdered while they prayed at Tree of Life in the deadliest act of antisemitism in our nation's history seven years ago today.
To those who've come together in the years since this tragic day – thank you for showing us that we are indeed stronger than hate.
And to the families who continue to bear the burden of empty seats at your tables, we offer you prayers of comfort and support.
Now more than ever, we need leaders across this country to speak and act with moral clarity by calling out hate wherever we find it. Today, we again have that opportunity.
May the memories of Joyce, Richard, Rose, Jerry, Cecil, David, Bernice, Sylvan, Daniel, Melvin, and Irving forever be a blessing.
Michael Smuss, the last known living fighter from the Warsaw Ghetto uprising, passed away today at the age of 99.
He was 6 years old when the Nazis prohibited Jewish children from learning in school. His family moved from Germany to Poland, and when the Nazis invaded, he and his father moved to the Warsaw Ghetto.
Michael and his father lived in the Warsaw Ghetto between 1940 and 1943. Conditions in the ghetto were unbearable; squalor, starvation, and disease were everywhere.
“I thank God for saving me. He pulled me out of there for a reason — so I could tell people about what happened,” Smuss once said.
Smuss was put to work fixing Nazi soldiers’ helmets. He became involved in the Warsaw underground, smuggling weapons into the ghetto and letters out.
“To clean the blood out of the helmets, I needed a certain thinner that was also good for making Molotov cocktails. I would ask for as much thinner as I could get to use in bombs that we put on rooftops all over the ghetto.”
After the rebellion, Smuss was sent to the Flossenbürg concentration camp, and then escaped during the death march to Dachau.
Smuss was nothing short of a Jewish hero, who told his story to new generations until his last days.
May we keep it alive for generations to come.
May his memory be a blessing 💔
“Why do we even have Muslims in Congress?”
This is a top adviser to the president. If every top political journalist at the Post, Times, CNN, etc, isn’t covering this & making a scandal out of this, it’s yet another reminder that they are soft on Trump & ok with Islamophobia.
I cannot breathe watching the fighting inside Gaza City. As a former hostage, I know exactly what these moments feel like. The booming blasts, the gunfire, the walls shaking, the helplessness and despair that take over. The emotions come rushing back all at once, and it is unbearable.
Right now, I fear deeply for Avinatan’s life. I fear for the lives of all the hostages. I saw my friend die before my eyes in captivity, and I cannot accept that it should happen to anyone else, ever again.
We must not let this continue. We must do everything in our power to bring everyone home, to see the hostages, including Avinatan, return safely. I pray this operation ends swiftly, and that every soldier and every hostage comes back home safe and sound.
We need them back to heal; we need this to be over to recover.
Pretty much all of Israeli showbiz hate Netanyahu and have spent the last few years protesting him. If living under a bad leader is all it takes to be "implicated in genocide and apartheid" then I have really bad news for Americans.
