The industry can't afford another year of regulatory limbo. The CLARITY Act represents the kind of foundational stablecoin legislation we need to move forward. Not as a final answer, but as an initial framework that lets serious builders operate with certainty. At @sphere, we're building infrastructure that compliantly makes stablecoins interoperable with existing systems: Fedwire, BOJ-NET, central bank clearing, et cetera. The best future requires pragmatism: both systems working together on better rails.

Last week our team was in Washington meeting with the White House, OCC, SEC, and other key stakeholders. We went to share what we're seeing from the infrastructure side, given that most of the policy focus right now is on market structure: stablecoins, custody, exchange oversight. That's necessary. But there are other hard questions coming: how do regulated institutions actually connect to on-chain systems without breaking anything? How do you make a stablecoin settlement hit Fedwire or BOJ-NET in a way that a compliance officer can sign off on? Legislation sets the framework. But the technical details around clearing, settlement, and cross-border interoperability will determine how it actually works day-to-day.

We're building for that future at Sphere, and grateful for the openness from policymakers and builders alike to getting the important details right.

ive come to fully appreciate the impact of media and building your own social distribution--ive spent the past six years working in DC think tanks, an investment bank, and in startups--nothing moves the needle quite like organic coverage.

these days, coverage is just as important as a good product--lack of attention means lack of conversion. ive spent the past year advising and consulting early stage start ups--all teams face the distribution issue.

my goal is to build a media channel that i would listen to--shorter podcasts that spotlight high value frontier tech companies with real working products and the potential to become billion dollar companies / impact one billion lives, hear more about users and who's using the product today, and how developers can build with these products today

i want to highlight

2) smart people
3) new, fun products

i'll experiment with various forms of storytelling and how to break into new audiences--so much of how younger generations learn now is confined to youtube and tiktok

frictionless global payments is one of the largest opportunity sets over the next decade and a core value prop of crypto rails, but a mix of regulatory + tech issues with teams unwilling or unable to navigate these challenges in years prior meant imperfect systems that struggled to scale

@sphere_labs helps facilitate any and all money movement over the internet—credit card payments, wires, fiat on/off ramping—using their API allows businesses to customize payment flows while sphere handles regulatory complexity

spending this past week and next month in argentina/chile where mobile phone adoption is high but credit card penetration is low has really made me appreciate sphere in a new light (i always thought it was cool ☝️)

friend is building a mobile payments solution in mexico for hospitality SMBs and by plugging in @sphere_labs APIs he can easily facilitate transfer amounts in local currency between bank accounts from various countries with near instant settlement

sphere is one of those companies that makes me want to put time on fast forward so i can live in a world where western union (predatory exchange rate mark ups and transfer fees) is erased from earth and international transfers between currencies / across traditional finance and crypto networks cost zero for everyone
