With support from @UKinKenya through @ELGIA_Africa, CMD-Kenya convened a structured, party-centric discussion with the Linda Mwananchi Movement’s officials and policy leads. The focus of the discussion was issue Prioritization ahead of and beyond the 2027 Elections.

Together, we reviewed citizen priorities and evidence gathered through KISP consultative processes to identify the most salient issues facing the citizens today.

Political parties are the vehicles through which citizens’ demands become policy. As the movement evolves into a political party, this engagement was about grounding the movement's policy propositions and, ultimately, its manifesto on the real needs of mwananchi.

As CMD-Kenya, we believe that issue-based politics and consultative frameworks are key to strengthening democracy and delivering results for the people.

This afternoon, I joined family, friends, and loved ones in Kisii County for a memorial gathering in honor of the late Rukia Mandari Ogeto. It was a moment to reflect on her life, celebrate her legacy, and continue standing in solidarity with my brother and longtime friend, Senior Counsel Ken Ogeto, and the entire family.

May God continue to grant them comfort, strength, and peace as they cherish the memories of a life well lived.

Fred Matiang’i: I believe people who say police are working with goons, and I tell them that is because of the failure and dysfunctional nature of the security sector. I know Kanja is a very good policeman, in fact, probably one of the best police officers this country has ever had. I know Noordin. We worked together; he was the DPP at that time. These are people who, if left to work on their own, would deliver a safe, clear, and clean Kenya.
