Googoosh, unlike many Iranian singers, did not leave Iran after the revolution.

She stayed until 2000, and for 20 years she did not sing.

When she finally left, she went on a world tour.

She has sold out many arenas and stadiums in the United States, Europe, and the Middle East since.
