@BargeTours@PatricRidge@daviddownie17 He’ll defo look better next to KDH. Been one of the best ball winners about for years and years - went to PSG and had some good games but ultimately his lack of quality on the ball has always held him back somewhat.
@BargeTours@PatricRidge@daviddownie17 I think he is competent. Gueye looks past it to me and does limit the MF. He was by far at his best with Andre Gomes next to him.
@photogareth Exactly lad and we bought him in for reasons that are now becoming obvious - we don’t have anyone better than him at RW rn. Give him time, put faith in him - then judge imo.
@PatricRidge@daviddownie17 Wonder what would fix that? It’s a lack of quality to rlly stamp authority with the ball. Personally I think Rohl over Gueye would be a step in the right direction 😬
O’Brien and Branthwaite too
@PatricRidge@ToffeeDaft IMO we ask too much of our CFs. Have been for years. Dated way of playing tbh - and DCL is absolutely unique in how good his holdup play is. Barry is raw but i do think there’s a lot of potential there provided we play to his strengths.
@Progression1878 A midfield 3 of KDH, Garner and Rohl sounds great in my head. Pains me to say, but i could see it functioning similar to the midfield 3s of Klopp’s teams tbh.
@jamesc_422@Richlloyd1984 Especially strikers. If a 23 year old is banging them in week in week out in the prem then they’re a generational talent tbh.
@elpivoteftbl He’s obviously gonna be some player, and will just gonna get better and better. Good athlete, been showing more and more of his link up play - some nice little flicks etc.
And most importantly he’s starting to show he can finish. Just learning his trade atm.
@TacticallyMatt Thing is, put Dibling in there and it’s not even a horrible side. I get dibling’s output hasn’t been great, and i sound like a broken record about it, but even if Dibling plays - he can’t be worse that McNeil, and at least he’s developing by playing yk. Moyes criminal
@Richlloyd1984 The way Moyes sets us up suites being under the cosh away though. Over the years this side has become good at grinding out away results. i think our lack of pace/creativity would get exploited far more at home when the onus is on us to attack.
@MainManMina I think it’s an ok position to have in terms of long term ambition. I do not see Moyes taking us up to where we all want to be.
But Moyes out at this part of the season is just reactionary. Let him see it out.
