Crazy facts:

I always need AT LEAST two projects at a time to work on. And even those have to be done in 3-6 months or I start itching for the next thing.
By year two, I was already extremely mentally exhausted with my PhD, I had to apply to other projects to work on, so I could find motivation to work on my dissertation.
It also explains why I plan my life years in advance. It helps to keep me grounded in the present.
