Introducing our final cover star of the spring issue of HIGHSNOBIETY, #kaytranada . Kay is the type of artist that just gets you off your feet, whose beats take you through the movement. His success has amounted to Grammys, collaborations with artists such as @kaliuches, and a change to the whole electronic scene.
What comes as a surprise, is that it was all a “happy accident,” as the artist puts it. Kay’s real passion lay in the creation of dark and moody sample-driven hip-hop. Montreal shit, as he so succinctly put it — and the very music he grew up with. We spoke to Kaytranda about his journey, and how he’s ready to go back to his roots and burrow back to the underground with plans to drop “Mixtapes, beat tapes, EPs.” Kaytranada will be here: tinkering, listening, conjuring something unlike anything that came before.

I profiled a band called Turnstile for the cover of the new @highsnobiety. We went pretty deep about what it means to be a good person and artist in 2025 so I hope you like it

"When you go from a self-made bunch of friends doing what they think is cool with no real external support to having something officially sanctioned by the most dusty, venerable part of the luxury world, it’s drawing a curtain over something. That’s the end of it."
"Hopefully I can live to be old and corny one day."
Incredible project and heroic effort by @RossScarano.
Absolutely one of the coolest things I've ever been a part of.

There are two types of people: those who get dressed and look in a mirror, and those who get dressed and look down. Whether you’re a mirror-looker or a down-looker is the primary defining characteristic of your style.
