i did not grow up in the stereotypical family- yet on television traditional families are seen as a man and a woman with a son and a daughter with a dog and a white picket fence- they also seemed more able and more intelligent than different fams. #NQSoc221

@gabiglass2 @diana62020 They also have rules in the WNBA about dunking and their 3 point line is moved in. They are trying to take away the “exciting” parts to watch on tv, when these women are perfectly capable of hitting a NBA 3 and many of them dunking. #NQSOC221

@laurendianne19 The also don’t talk about cultural capital, it’s harder for low income families to get a car to go to practices or money to afford the attire for the sport. It’s so hard to make it out of those situations, and no one tries to make it easier. #NQSOC221
