"Thoughts" , "Fake it till you make it"
[GISELLE x DAZED Korea June 2026 Issue]
๐ฌ : ....is there anything for giselle too that the more time passed, the more power something held?
๐ : "Thoughts". My thoughts. I believe that what you think every day, and what thoughts you keep in your mind eventually become reality. If you constantly think negative thoughts, everything could go in a bad direction, on the opposite if you constantly think good things, that energy will naturally come out. Because our thoughts don't end in our heads, but are shown to the outside in words, actions, expressions, or in other ways. How i look at myself, what kind of words i repeat to myself, I believe that if it accumulates, it will eventually become the same as that person's appearance and energy.

๐ : Don't think negative, energy is real. Energy is really real. What you say out loud, what you think to yourself, and what you believe in about yourself is energy that is like out in the open. The universe takes that and gives it back to you. So if you're like, 'oh I'm ugly I'm ugly.. I hate myself' you look at yourself and you go all like 'ugh like I hate the way I look, I hate this I hate that' you're gonna be that, you know. So don't be a little bitch. Love yourself, even if you don't, fake it just fake it.

"... You rarely see an uneasy expression on GISELLE's face. As she openly admitted her philosophy when she handles things: 'Fake it till you make it. First, become the person you want to be. Even if you started only pretending to be that person, slowly you will truly build that confidence in yourself.'
When facing expectations she hasn't yet reached, she accepts them calmly and building the confidence step by step, letting deliberate composure to slowly transform into instinctive confidence.

[GISELLE x SuperELLE Q&A]

๐ : I wish i'd be able to have an out-of-body experience while i'm sleeping. I feel like that would give me a lot of inspiration.

๐ฌ : It isn't as easy as it sounds to live as your true self, right? You mentioned that the experience that has made giselle the strongest recently was a battle with yourself?
๐ : Every time. It feels like i'm always in a battle with myself every single time. I don't think self-development has to be about career or skills. I feel like there are levels inside me as well. Also, i believe that whenever i achieve a goal or become a better person, i go up one level. So if there are 10 levels, i'm probably still around level two? (laughs) there's still a long way to go. Overcoming it, accepting everything, and becoming a better person. That's what i mean by a battle with myself. I'm always in a battle with myself, both mentally and physically. Because what i want, what fits me, what i must do, and what i want to do are all different. Whether it's about overcoming what needs to be overcome, doing what needs to be done, or pushing through it even when i don't feel like it. I think those small choices all come together.

๐ฌ : Many Model Press readers are currently pursuing their dreams. Looking back on your life so far, please tell those people what you think is necessary to achieve their dreams.
๐ : I think you must not let your spirit become weak. The reason is that believing in yourself is important. If you start thinking, "Maybe I'm no good after all," you end up failing. No matter how many times you fail, what is important is to keep believing in yourself all the time.

๐ฌ : At the fan meeting, you also performed "KISS N TELL," the title track from your 1st Japanese mini album for the first time. As aespa, who are active all over the world, what significance does leaving behind an original Japanese mini album like this have in the group's career?
๐ : We've always hoped to being able to release an album in Japan for a long time. In particular, the title track, "KISS N TELL," was a song that had caught our attention. Actually, at first, it wasn't the title track of the album, but the song was so good that we discussed with the company that we want to use this as the Japanese title track. Since it's an album that we created while carrying those memories with us, it has become an album that we are very attached to.

๐ฌ: Tell me about a time that you horribly embarrassed yourself
๐: There's too many we can't say any of them on camera, you're gonna pull it up. We don't want you to do that.

๐ฌ : What helped you find your voice and advocate for yourself?
๐ : I was still young I didn't know what I was doing. And to be working in an industry that's very intense, you learn a lot of things along the way. Sometimes you need to stand down, sometimes you got to speak up, and I'm still learning but I guess that was just one of the moments.
