@5K1aLT78wSiHP1K I hv noticed some OBC communities in Hamirpur H.P; particularly the nai community, hv increasingly started using Rajput surnames in last few decades which were never used by thr ancestors. SDM in my area is from an OBC or nai background but uses a Rajput surname intentionally.

🚨 GANG RAPISTS JAILED
Three men have been sentenced to a combined 20+ years after they abducted a student before driving her to an isolated location, gang raping her and then abandoning her.

◦ Arjan Purewal has been jailed for 8 years 6 months
-- Rape
-- Blackmail
--Perverting the course of justice
-- Possessing ID with improper intention

◦ Jaskaran Thandi jailed for 6 years 4 months
-- Aiding and abetting rape
-- Sexual assault.

◦ Hassan Jangheer jailed for 6 years
-- Aiding and abetting rape
-- Sexual assault.

The men picked up the student in Birmingham in a silver-grey BMW before driving her to Clent Hills, near Hagley.

Purewal orally raped the victim and filmed the attack on his phone. Jangheer forced her to perform a sexual act on him, while Thandi sexually assaulted her.

The victim was subsequently abandoned in an isolated location.

Investigators believe Purewal hired the BMW using another person's driving licence and identification documents to facilitate the attack.

All three were sentenced at Worcester Crown Court on 9 October 2026.

Purewal was also ordered to remain on the Sex Offenders Register for life.
