Looks like The lost world game for the PS1 may have had a cut fish species, it seems to mostly resemble Cheriolepis. The size and freshwater environment also match it.

@carrnoldschwarz It probably is intentional but I'd rather have a whole new good design then reusing coloration. Too many JW creatures are just poorly reused JP colors.
