@mendomikey@CoachTRossi 💯 is because they chose to confer. Why confer unless you’re trying to get it right. Getting it right is more important than your ego. No point in being a perfect rule follower with terrible judgement.
@Spoony1981@JSq7ub@W_Drehs He is in what is called c slot and it is correct. Even in baseball the umpire has a b and a c slot on either side of the mound, he is never directly behind it.
@W_Drehs It is awful but it is excusable. Umpire was in the correct position but from that position I believe he was fooled by the stretch to the outfield and the way the runner touched first with an outstretched leg. From his position these together would give an illusion of an out.
@CoachTRossi That said, the body language of 1B was clear she knew runner was safe and she looked at go ahead runner at third. This should have been a clue for PU to ask BU about angles of runner and 1B and make sure they got the play right.
@CoachTRossi 3. Home plate ump was watching for pulled foot and runners lane and not timing. They did confer. He had passive mechanics all game so he just isnt going to be up to the task of helping on this play, nor by the book should he. This is just an unfortunate miss by BU.
Our Warrior Scholastic Bowl Team competed in the Regional Tournament finishing as the Runner Up! They defeated Joliet West 360-230 and Lincoln-Way West 430-270 before falling to Lincoln-Way East.

@IHSAChess@CM201UAthletics Round 1 is underway for the Crete-Monee chess team in Peoria at state. We are playing Andrew High School, a close program to ours who we respect for lasting success. Our young team will get some valuable experience!
@IHSAChess@CM201UAthletics So our day didnt go as planned. We lost to Moline 36.5-31.5 when we miscounted and didnt want take the draw which would have won it. Then we lost to Metamora 36.5-29.5 because we took draws when we needed a win to clinch it. Process >Product. @IHSAChess@CM201UAthletics
@IHSAChess@CM201UAthletics Winning round two means the Warriors are back to being underdogs facing Chicago Northside. This is a battle between two teams who each won 5 matches at state last year.
