Presidency Slams VDM Over Fake Tinubu Video

Social media erupted after the Presidency threatened legal action against activist Very Dark Man over an AI-generated audio clip falsely attributed to President Bola Tinubu discussing insecurity and the 2027 election.

VDM later accused the Presidency of making inflammatory comments without verification, sparking conversations around politics and the dangers of AI.

The Ratel has reacted to comments by President Bola Tinubu’s spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, over an alleged fake audio circulating online involving him and the president.

He questioned the spokesman’s silence on the kidnapping of teachers and students in Oyo State, while insisting he was ready to face the law following claims that the audio originated from him.

VeryDarkMan alleged that attempts were being made to silence him over his criticism of President Tinubu’s administration.

He also maintained that it is his fundamental right to criticise the government whenever it is doing wrong.
