@AlaskaAir No, this does not work when booking a trip on Cathay Airlines. The OneWorld portal takes you out of Alaska and to the Cathay site. From there, it is impossible to use the Alaska miles for anything.

Was excited about the @AlaskaAir promo about OneWorld alliance but it’s a fraud. Can’t use my miles to book or upgrade on a partner airline, and the website forces you to book on the partner airline site. So frustrated!

Moral of the story: NEVER BOOK @SpiritAirlines - don’t be charmed by the prices at first glance, it will not work out in your favor! I should have known better…

Hey @AlaskaAir willing to tolerate cancelled direct flights but @flySEA with only 15-min layover, it’s impossible with gates at opposite sides of the airport incl. 3 shuttle trains. This east to west coast trip is now taking 10+ hours. Loyal customer might need to bid farewell.

@AradJGigi It’s demoralizing being faculty in education - our starting salaries are $10K less than colleagues in other colleges. My starting pay was exactly the same as my public school teaching job 6 years prior, minus the Ph. D.
