The "Mentality" Rule

Muslims told me:
“You Christians sin freely because you believe Jesus died for your sins. That’s why you people drink, commit adultery, and fornicate. Your Bible doesn’t even really condemn it.”

I replied:
“No, you’re wrong. The Bible says ‘all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.’ Nobody on earth lived a sinless life except Jesus. And His death is not a license to keep sinning, the Bible clearly forbids that.”

He pressed:
“Islam condemns sin, but your Bible doesn’t. That’s why you people do so much nonsense.”

I said:
“Show me where the Quran condemns Muhammad’s sins, and I’ll show you where the Bible confronted people’s sin.”

He went quiet for a while… then finally said:
“Muhammad was not a sinner at all. All prophets were perfect.”

I answered:
“If he wasn’t a sinner, why did he constantly beg for forgiveness? And why did Allah forgive his past and future sins?”

Silence again.
Then he found his strength:
“Why do Christians live in sin?”

I shot back:
“Why did Muhammad live in sin? He had relations with a slave girl, lusted after his adopted son’s wife, and then married her.”

More silence.
Then he tried a new angle:
“Even Jesus was a sinner! He got angry and threw people’s goods in the temple.”

I laughed and said:
“Ah, so you’ve just confirmed you know Muhammad was a sinner. The only way out is to drag Jesus into the mess. For the record, Jesus didn’t sin. He was righteously angry that they turned His Father’s house into a marketplace and disobey what God said in Isaiah 56:7.”

Then I dropped this bomb:
“Do you even know that Allah said if people stop committing sins, He will wipe them out and replace them with people who will sin so He can forgive them?”

“By Him in Whose Hand is my soul, if you did not commit sins, Allah would have swept you out of existence and would have brought a people who would commit sins, then ask for forgiveness, and He would forgive them.”

He replied:
“See I’m not a scholar… I can’t explain this. I’ll check it later.”

So I finished:
“Jesus death and resurrection is not a license to sin. Paul already shut that down in Romans 6:1. Christians who keep sinning are going against God’s Word. But Muslims who keep sinning? They’re doing exactly what Allah said He wants.”

one of the ugliest truths about life is that every choice kills another version of your life.

get married, and you’ll eventually miss the freedom you had alone. stay single, and there will be nights when you wonder what it would’ve been like to build a life with someone. have children, and you’ll miss parts of the life you had before them. don’t have children, and you may spend years wondering about the family you never created.

there is no perfect path and there is no decision that leaves you with everything.

the life you didn’t choose will always look better from a distance because you never had to pay its price.

one of the hardest things about growing up is realizing your parents are aging while you're still busy becoming. you keep thinking there will be another holiday, another phone call or another weekend when you're less busy.

meanwhile, they're getting older in the background of your life.

the stories you've heard 10 times, the questions you've answered before, the little things you find yourself impatient with today may become the exact things that will go extinct or you would give anything to experience again later.

we spend so much time preparing for the future that we forget some people we love are already moving toward a future where we won't have them.

so call them , visit them, sit beside them without needing a reason

one day, just one day, you'll understand that those ordinary moments were never ordinary. buena suerte 👍

So this girl you are seeing here is just 11 years old. She is currently living with her aunt in Onitsha, but according to her, she was brought from Lagos where her parents live to stay with this woman.

According to reports, the girl was seen wandering around after she lost about ₦2,000, which she had made from selling fufu. She had searched everywhere for the money but could not find it. She was crying and refused to go home because, according to her, her auntie would beat her.

A kind woman who saw her joined her in searching for the money, but they couldn’t find it. Eventually, the woman gave her the ₦2,000 and also got her something to eat.

But that was when they discovered something more painful.

The girl said she does not go to school, hardly eats, and had not eaten that day. She also said she has been doing this work every day. She has been living with the woman for about five years, since she was six years old.

She said she wants to go back to her parents in Lagos, but she doesn’t know how to contact them.

According to her, her mother’s name is Ugo Igwemma.

My people, please, let’s share this post. Hopefully, it will reach someone who knows this family or can help trace her parents in Lagos so this little girl can be reunited with them.

This is an 11-year-old child. She deserves to be in school, to eat properly, and to be cared for.

Skip 100% polyester unless you're buying gym wear.

Instead, search:
• 100% Cotton
• Combed Cotton
• Heavyweight Cotton
• 240-300 GSM Cotton
• Premium Cotton
• Mercerized Cotton

The heavier the GSM, the thicker and more premium the shirt usually feels.

2. Jeans:

Denim Jeans
Temu is surprisingly good for denim if you know what to search.

Search:
• Denim Jeans
• Cotton Denim
• Raw Denim
• Selvedge Denim (if available)
• 98% Cotton + 2% Elastane
• 99% Cotton

Avoid jeans with high polyester content. The more cotton, the better they'll age and feel.

3. Body-hug clothing:

Search:
• Ribbed Knit
• Modal
• Viscose Blend
• Cotton-Spandex Blend

They hold their shape much better than cheap polyester.

4. Hoodies
Search:
• 400 GSM
• French Terry
• Cotton Fleece
• Heavyweight Hoodie

5. Chains
Search:
• 316L Stainless Steel
• Titanium Steel
• PVD Gold Plated
• Vacuum Plated

These are far more resistant to fading than ordinary fashion jewelry.

Pictures lie a lot

The description usually tells the truth.

Here's how I shop:

1. Read the material composition before anything else.

2. Sort by Most Orders or Best Selling, not cheapest.

3. Only buy products with lots of reviews or pictures or even better when a Nigerian has purchased it before they always tell the truth.

4. Read the 1-star reviews first. They'll tell you what the seller won't.

5. Look at customer photos, not the product photos.

6. Check the weight of the product. Better quality clothing is often heavier.

7. Read the size chart. Don't assume your Nigerian size matches.

8. If the title has words like "luxury," "premium," or "designer" but the material is 100% polyester, not everything but still move on.

Your best friend isn't the product picture.

It's the material, the reviews, and the customer photos.

That's how you separate the gems from the junk.
