@Blutman27 Amazing - was a solid tourney, good story lines (shintaro, fery, 5 setters). Predictable finish, zverev was serving unreal but still not good enough all around to beat sinner. Need Shelton to do well at the open
@BarstoolHubbs We can agree to disagree, still love you hubbs lol just not this take👊🏼
*and yes we’ve had many back and forth 4 and 5 set matches, and we’ve had plenty of story lines outside of Ben, Joao and TP too
Ready for the rest of the tourney🎾
1. Serena comes back and goes 3
2. The Fery tale wins b2b 5 setters and is still alive
3. 26 current or former college guys made the main and some still alive
4. Novak advances to another semis after winning 7-6 in the 5th
5…
But yeah, it’s lacked signature moments🤭
@nocontextatp I mean you're gonna get 5 set matches but the tournament has lacked signature moments. That's okay, not every slam has to be action packed. Should be a very good end though
@BarstoolHubbs Out of curiousity though, what would’ve made it not painfully boring for you? There have been some great story lines and great matches with a wide range of players. I’m not sure what else there is
@BarstoolHubbs Hubbs, respectfully, that is one of the worst takes I’ve heard lol 5 set matches to get to the second week of a slam between many top 5, 10, 15 players with all sorts of storylines (Fery, Shintaro, Wawa), some wild upsets early on, I’d argue this has been one of the better slams
@BarstoolHubbs Yeah and I have a feeling she will rattle off some wins unless she gets a top 5-10 player first. I don’t think the WTA is that deep so she may be already like top 10-20 level caliber
Alcaraz out injured
Sinner loses in R2 from two sets up
Djokovic loses in R3 from two sets up
One of the craziest and more open Grand Slams in tennis' history.
