Many people were involved in the development of this release over the past 3 years and it has already been used in multiple live events.
@rogueyoshi_FGC This might be what you're looking for? https://t.co/aI6FeiusGE
It's a thought we've had for a long time, and it also touched on here: https://t.co/bqgP7STHtV
We thank everyone in the community for their patience and support during this time and look forward to being able to continue to iterate and deliver on more user-facing features in the future.
(Though we do still need to rewrite the dashboard in something other than Polymer...)
While this release was indeed a massive undertaking, it ultimately does not change much for bundle developers and it changes even less for bundle operators. This release was about paying off years of technical debt and laying a foundation that can carry the project forward.
The most significant breaking change is that the repository will no longer include build outputs. If you check out the master branch, the next time you run git pull, it will update to v2, and you will need to build it by `npm run build`
We are going to merge the refactor/ts branch into master. This will introduce several breaking changes. Please consult the migration guide at https://t.co/qGIVj7yv8r

@FindingFilene@stargazermellu We're working on making the necessary changes to obs-websocket and obs-websocket-js for us to cleanly upgrade nodecg-obs to v5 of the protocol. No ETA as of yet, but that work began today.
The site has been updated to include docs on Discord authentication, Docker, and the little-known `nodecg.socket` client-side API:

NodeCG's development has stalled, largely due to lack of funding. If your organization is interested in funding the project, send an email to [email protected]
In the meantime, the current release remains stable and the Discord is active: https://t.co/Ros5wLVKjT
The way NodeCG distributes its TypeScript typedefs is changing, and we need your input!
Please take a look at this RFC and offer your feedback, even if it's just leaving an emoji reaction 🤠

@XZ3R0 However, if you plan on putting your NodeCG instance on the internet, please follow these security guidelines. NodeCG is not safe by default: https://t.co/MSTArCm9yY

Big thanks to @Clubwhom for leading the push to get this new site made.
