Checklist for 9ja men before thinking of marriage in 2026
1. You need to be employed or have a reliable business making you at least 300-500k a month.
2. You need to have a rented or own apartment, at least a one bedroom flat.
3. Your fiancée needs to have a reliable job and willing to contribute (nothing like my money is my money but your money is our money). Lash tech, Nail tech, makeup, chef and masseur are not reliable jobs.
4. Have at least 6 months of living expense saved somewhere or locked in an investment.
5. Have basic furniture such as bed, chairs, kitchen items, washing machine, and I pass my neighbour gen.
6. Have no serious debt.
7. Should have cohabited on and off or fully for a while to know you can tolerate living together.
8. Have common sense and anger management skills.
9. Must have mastered how to apologise for things you did not do and dealing with hormone influenced shenanigans.
