@FlannelMeatball @DougWahl1 I try not to pre-judge people, and it's fruitless to try to assess where folks are politically. I treat folks they way I want to be treated. They mostly respond likewise. Good manners go a long way. That way people know you're trustworthy.. then they open up.

@DiscoverJesus3 You can find almost anything in scripture that justifies oppression & brutality. The bible wasn't dictated word for word, but was transmitted orally for thousands of years before being transcribed. Sometimes in the speaking/writing, words might change..

@RevKimWChafee of course scholarship is on target! but the theobros have no scholarship nor exegetical know/how. they can’t be bothered. all they have is “ cut and paste” theology paired with illiteracy, sprinkle in some bigotry..

@TrueFactsStated i think all the naysayers never read the book, nor studied ancient cultures. Most films based on classic books don’t adhere strictly to the book, but that’s what art does- modifies the original.
