The UN General Assemblyโs decision on two states with a โright of returnโ is, in effect, a decision for two Arab states. For anyone who mistakenly thought this was a vision of peace, a true achievement, or Arab and global unity around a positive visionโwell, it isnโt. There is nothing here to celebrate.
Even if the resolution includes words about Palestine without Hamas and condemnation of the massacre, in the end it preserves the very idea in whose name the massacre was carried outโthe idea of โreturn.โ Moreover, in Article 39, it even โreiterates,โ almost casually, the so-called โright of returnโ (even though no such right exists, and Resolution 194 does not speak of such a right). By doing so, it essentially cancels out all the preceding clauses and all the nice wording that came before it.
The reason Adi Schwartz and I have devoted years to studying the โreturnโ ethos in the construction of Palestinian identityโwhich reflects their ongoing commitment to the negation of Zionism (in our books The War of Return and its update October Return)โis because it is the clearest and most reliable test to determine whether the Arabs of Gaza, the West Bank, and the millions in Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon truly intend to end the century-long war against Zionism and live alongside a Jewish state, rather than on its ruins.
Palestinian leaders can say, and indeed do say, โtwo states,โ and we, ever naรฏve, assume that one of those two is meant to be the Jewish state. But if you press further and ask them about their stance on the โright of return,โ their answer is always, without exception, that the โright of returnโ is โsacred, non-negotiable, and belongs personally to every Palestinian across generations.โ The implication is that, given the millions who claim to hold this โright,โ the only โtwo statesโ being discussed are: an Arab state in Gaza and the West Bank without Jews, and another Arab state with a Jewish minority (unlikely to last longโฆ).
Unfortunately, the Arab-Palestinian position on the โright of returnโ is not a โsymbolicโ issue or a matter for negotiationโthat is the Western interpretation (westplaining). In the 1990s one could still believe it was a bargaining position that would be moderated in exchange for a state, compensation, or a โsymbolic return.โ But after the issue has been tested multiple times in negotiations and unilateral withdrawals, and as it becomes clear that time and again the Palestinians prefer to forgo an actual state in hand in favor of โreturnโ in theory, then sadly, one must take them at their word and acknowledge the consistency with which they act to realize that goal.
Finally, those who truly want peace (those who want endless warโwell, in that, the Palestinians are reliable partners) must act with a sober understanding of the other side. We must not project our wishes onto them, but recognize that the conflict always was and remainsโespecially in the land between the river and the seaโexactly as the British Foreign Secretary observed in February 1947: between Jews who want a state and Arabs who want the Jews not to have one. Therefore, to genuinely reach peace, we must understand that the conflict will only end on the day the Palestinians adopt a vision of living alongside the Jewish state, not instead of it. That is what must be pursued, however long it takes.
This is simply unbelievable.
After generating a tsunami of hate towards Israel with that terrifying picture, the NYT now quietly admits that the boy has preexisting conditions.
NYT, you knew that Hamas uses babies with preexisting illnesses.
Weโve been saying this for months now.
You knew exactly what this picture would cause.
This is a blood libel in 2025.
Have you no shame?

Israel is fighting on the frontline of the free world. Thank us later.
One year on from October 7, the Westโs enemies are counting on Jerusalemโs allies to give up

September 27th is the most important day in the Middle East since the Abraham Accords breakthrough.
I have spent countless hours studying Hezbollah and there is not an expert on earth who thought that what Israel has done to decapitate and degrade them was possible.
This is significant because Iran is now fully exposed. The reason why their nuclear facilities have not been destroyed, despite weak air defense systems, is because Hezbollah has been a loaded gun pointed at Israel. Iran spent the last forty years building this capability as its deterrent.
President Trump would often say, โIran has never won a war but never lost a negotiation.โ The Islamic Republicโs regime is much tougher when risking Hamas, Hezbollah, Syrian and Houthi lives than when risking their own. Their foolish efforts to assassinate President Trump and hack his campaign reek of desperation and are hardening a large coalition against them.
Iranian leadership is stuck in the old Middle East, while their neighbors in the GCC are sprinting toward the future by investing in their populations and infrastructure. They are becoming dynamic magnets for talent and investment while Iran falls further behind. As the Iranian proxies and threats dissipate, regional security and prosperity will rise for Christians, Muslims and Jews alike.
Israel now finds itself with the threat from Gaza mostly neutralized and the opportunity to neutralize Hezbollah in the north. Itโs unfortunate how we got here but maybe there can be a silver lining in the end.
Anyone who has been calling for a ceasefire in the North is wrong. There is no going back for Israel. They cannot afford now to not finish the job and completely dismantle the arsenal that has been aimed at them. They will never get another chance.
After the brilliant, rapid-fire tactical successes of the pagers, radios, and targeting of leadership, Hezbollahโs massive weapon cache is unguarded and unmanned. Most of Hezbollah fighters are hiding in their tunnels. Anyone still around was not important enough to carry a pager or be invited to a leadership meeting. Iran is reeling, as well, insecure and unsure how deeply its own intelligence has been penetrated. Failing to take full advantage of this opportunity to neutralize the threat is irresponsible.
I have been hearing some amazing stories about how Israel has been collecting intelligence over the past 10 months with some brilliant technology and crowdsourcing initiatives.
But today, with the confirmed killing of Nasrallah and at least 16 top commanders eliminated in just nine days, was the first day I started thinking about a Middle East without Iranโs fully loaded arsenal aimed at Israel. So many more positive outcomes are possible.
This is a moment to stand behind the peace-seeking nation of Israel and the large portion of the Lebanese who have been plagued by Hezbollah and who want to return to the times when their country was thriving, and Beirut a cosmopolitan city. The main issue between Lebanon and Israel is Iran; otherwise there is a lot of benefit for the people of both countries from working together.
The right move now for America would be to tell Israel to finish the job. Itโs long overdue. And itโs not only Israelโs fight.
More than 40 years ago, Hezbollah killed 241 US military personnel, including 220 Marines. That remains the single deadliest day for the U.S. Marine Corps since the Battle of Iwo Jima. Later that same day, Hezbollah killed 58 French paratroopers.
And now, over the past six weeks or so, Israel has eliminated as many terrorists on the US list of wanted terrorists as the US has done in the last 20 years. Including Ibrahim Aqil, the leader of Hezbollahโs Islamic Jihad Organization who masterminded the 1983 killing of those Marines.
Hamas-ISIS kidnapped these two brothers, Kfir (1.5) and Ariel (4), with their parents Shiri and Yarden (they were separated from their father) on October 7th, killing their grandparents and abducting about 250 more people without any prior provocation.
Hamas-ISIS knew they were starting a war. They knew they would lose, but their Jihadist ideology is stronger than reason.
They are willing to risk the lives of all Palestinians for their Islamist delusions.
This war could end tomorrow if the international community will pressure Hamas to release all hostages and surrender.
Either you support their unconditional surrender and immediate release of all hostages, or you want to this war to continue on.

A video from the tunnels where six of the Israeli (and one American-Israeli) hostages were held in inhumane conditions and executed by Hamas with point-blank gunshots to the head.
Hamas kidnapped our brothers and sisters on October 7, 2023, and we must bring back the 101 who remain with the Hamas-ISIS monster.
Donโt look away.
Watch and share.
**Fake News Alert**
Another day, another blood libel.
I feel so stupid to say this but no one is being celebrated in TV shows for raping, not Palestinians or any other human being.
Do you know that in most Muslim countries rape is very prevalent and sometimes they even kill women for being raped, because they dishonored the family?
Yes, what you just read.
As the dear @DouglasKMurray said:
"Tell me what you blame the Jews for and I'll tell you what you guilty of".
Please share this.
The West is essentially suggesting that Iran might be convinced not to attack Israelโa move they have no right to makeโif Israel compromises its own security by allowing Hamas to regroup. This rewards Iran's aggression, putting Israel in a weaker position. Absurd
301 days ago, Hamas-ISIS, along with a mob backed by the Islamic regime in Iran, infiltrated Israel. They killed 1,200 people in one day, looted, raped, and kidnapped over 255 people.
115 people are still being held hostage.
Ariel (4) is one of them. We want him back.
Hamas is losing. Palestinians who support them are losing. Itโs time to let them go.

To the outside world, they were a physician and a journalist. No one suspected their Gaza apartment had become a prison holding hostages. https://t.co/vWTc1CzJFN https://t.co/vWTc1CzJFN
Itโs extraordinary how some liberal activists are unable to celebrate the freeing of an innocent Israeli woman from imprisonment by a confirmed terror organisation. Hamas started this war. They are a responsible for every casualty. It ends when they are eliminated.
