everyone loves to lecture longevity researchers about humbling themselves before god and death but every medicine and procedure you’ve ever taken was created by someone who refused to accept diseases as inevitable. sure, death itself might be unavoidable. that doesn’t make the pursuit of absolute human wellbeing less noble.
