Gas is $5. People are mean (and disgusting). Netflix and Disney+ and HBO and whatever else is now $25 each. Half of us developed an alcohol sensitivity from repeated covid infections but a drink out would be $15 minimum anyway. It’s 107 degrees. There’s glass in the popsicles.
Taylor Townsend spent years being body-shamed and denied funding by the USTA, only to come back and secure a historic career Grand Slam. True dominance cannot be gatekept. She stayed resilient, ignored the critics, and solidified her status as an absolute legend.
Bernie Sanders has introduced a new bill that would reduce the standard US work week to 32 hours instead of 40.
If it gets fully implemented, anyone working past the 32 hour mark would get mandatory overtime pay.
A surrogate, believing she was carrying a child for a single father, is actually having a baby for a Chinese billionaire who allegedly has more than 100 kids. CBS News broke the news to her.
Leaked documents obtained by CBS News named the intended father as Xu Bo, a Chinese billionaire and video game executive. Xu Bo has been reported to have over 100 children through U.S. surrogates, granting them American citizenship at birth. A former partner involved in a custody lawsuit against Xu Bo claims he has as many as 300 children. He has disputed these numbers, and has said in a statement that he has custody of 12 children born through surrogacy in the U.S.
CBS News' @KatrinaSari interviewed the surrogate – who we are referring to as "Judy" to keep her identity private – who said she was blindsided to learn about Xu Bo. CBS News spoke to 32 surrogates for an investigation into the industry. Head to the linked article for more on this investigation.

All four 9/11 pilots spent time in Las Vegas the summer before the attacks.
The hijackers made six trips here, stayed in cheap motels, and met one last time on August 13, 2001.
25 years later, nobody knows for sure why they chose Vegas.
We remember the nearly 3,000 killed.
