The comic is finished since a long time, I still have to scan it. But I like a lot how it turned out. Unfortunately without color but I hope it is forgiven. I will soon post it
Ok I need to add something. Vividness is easier to depict since there is the video technique. And comics usually use some kind of movement lines. Rubens compensated all of that for his pictures by an elaborate composition. I think nevertheless his paintings are great
I was in the Old Pinakothek in Munich and it was very good. I saw paintings of the old masters (Dürer, daVinci, Tizian, Raffael, Rubens and many more). Although I had only little time left when I entered, I left with euphoric mood I felt newborn. I need to go there again!
And his paintings are composed in a way that makes them very dynamic and full of tension. I think I never saw so far in visual media such dynamic depictions full of energy. I think it could be worth to study his art more in depth because of that.

Odysseus hanging on a fig tree after Charybdis sucked in his wrecked ship. This is the moment shortly after the loss of all his comrades, a complete desaster which was prophesized to him by Tiresias and Circe if his men would slaughter Helios sacred cows.

Odysseus reveals himself in front of Telemachus and he can't hold back his tears (in the Odyssey it's described a bit different, Athena returns Odysseus his true form and then shows himself to Telemachus)

One of Odysseus men meets the Lotus-eaters. The only thing they do is eating Lotus and forgetting all their troubles. But as result, they also forget their home and name. For Odysseus the most horrible thing that could happen
