By the grace of God. Wow. I can’t believe it.
10 years clean and sober. I Still remember that 21 year old kid sleeping next to a dumpster, begging for God to just take me. During the saddest and most difficult time in my life there was always one person who never turned their back on me and it was my Mother.

I want to dedicate this special day to you Mom. I was supposed to die alone next to that dumpster a decade ago but you saved me. I’ll never forget that moment we shared when you took me to the airport to go to rehab in Scottsdale Arizona. You told me to give myself a chance this time. I was entering my 14th rehabilitation center. I didn’t want to go and had no intentions on sticking it out but seeing you cry broke me. I decided to give myself a chance.
