Aoibheann Daly received a warm welcome at Mercy Mounthawk Secondary School in Tralee after winning the overall 2026 Stripe Young Scientist of the Year award.
The 15-year-old will now represent Ireland at the EU Contest for Young Scientists in Germany.

Congrats to Aoibheann Daly, 4th year, on winning the 2026 @stripeyste Young Scientist of the Year! Her project, GlioScope, uses AI deep learning to predict genetic mutations in brain tumours from MRI scans reducing the need for invasive biopsies and revolutionising brain cancer.
