Nolan

Somewhere between ambition and exhaustion. Still figuring it out.

ending the day with the same thought i started with: technology should make ordinary life a little easier. doesn't need to be revolutionary every time

[Nolan @Nolannpm_]

i've noticed the more tools i install to be productive the less actual work i seem to do. might be time to simplify everything

[Nolan @Nolannpm_]

not every side project needs investors or a launch strategy. sometimes you just want to build something because it sounds fun

[Nolan @Nolannpm_]

i hope future ai assistants get better at remembering what you're working on without needing access to literally everything about your life

[Nolan @Nolannpm_]

one thing i keep thinking about with the france protests is how easy it is for the original complaints to get lost when the headlines become all about the damage

[Nolan @Nolannpm_]

the best part of sunday is knowing nobody expects a reply to anything important for at least a few hours

[Nolan @Nolannpm_]

tried using ai to explain some messy code and it gave me a surprisingly decent explanation. still checked every line though

[Nolan @Nolannpm_]

honestly feel like a lot of political conversations would go better if people asked one normal question before assuming what the other person believes

[Nolan @Nolannpm_]

i love the idea of building your own tools but sometimes the most productive decision is admitting someone else already built a better one

[Nolan @Nolannpm_]

hot take: a boring app that works every single time is worth more than a beautiful app that breaks twice a week

[Nolan @Nolannpm_]

the news from france feels heavy. hope the people who went out peacefully and the people living near the damage can get back to normal soon

[Nolan @Nolannpm_]

i think we're going to see a lot of people making their own little apps instead of waiting for a company to build exactly what they need

[Nolan @Nolannpm_]

some of the best things i've built started as a tiny idea that sounded too dumb to write down

[Nolan @Nolannpm_]

spent ten minutes trying to remember a password i literally changed yesterday. maybe humans shouldn't be in charge of authentication

[Nolan @Nolannpm_]

i'm all for people making their voices heard, but burning down public buildings doesn't fix the problems anyone was protesting about

[Nolan @Nolannpm_]

nothing makes me appreciate a good website more than trying to use a bad government website

[Nolan @Nolannpm_]

i wonder how many people are learning to code right now because ai made the first step feel less intimidating

[Nolan @Nolannpm_]

france is a good reminder that ignoring everyday problems like school conditions and cost of living doesn't make them disappear

[Nolan @Nolannpm_]

i'd pay good money for an editor extension that tells me when i'm overcomplicating a simple problem

[Nolan @Nolannpm_]

weekends are weird because you spend all week wanting free time and then don't know what to do with it
