@couplegoals469 @RaidersBeat It absolutely was the question. If we give up a draft pick and pay him his salary, then we are at our cap limit because his contract states that he is owed $30 million in 2026. Or we sign him for 3 years and carry that dead cap for 2 more years. It makes no sense.

@BIGFOOT81 @RaidersBeat That's a big reason it wouldn't make sense. Reworking the contract means spreading it over 2 or 3 years, so if the plan is to bring him in to mentor Mendoza for one season, it makes no sense to carry that dead money for 2 or 3 years. It's just bad business.

@WastedRaiders I'm just looking at it this way. If Maxx never got traded, if Jay Glazer never opened his trap, How would I feel if Maxx never left, and we had the same free agency we've had so far? I'd be hyped. So, I'm going to be hyped. Hopefully he stays with us like Howie did.

@WastedRaiders I disagree with Dan. Yes, we suck, & there is a lack of talent, but the idea that we are completely devoid of talent is laughable. We have one of the best TE rooms in the league & Jeanty will be a top RB. Get a WR1 & a couple Oline pieces for the rookie QB. That's an offense.

@GraphkRaider The way I see it, neither Gabriel nor Shedeur would be ready to play week 1 if needed. Pickett has enough starting experience to be able to take over and not keep us one dimensional if Geno has to come out.
