It was more of a hoods up kind of day for the @nnas_award_scheme silver award day 2 and assessment.
Congratulations to Jude & Richard who passed in very hard weather conditions and on tough terrain. @ Moel Oernant https://t.co/1jC6CuRFGJ
Much better weather than expected today on day 1 of the @nnas_uk Silver Award. Foel Dinas giving the perfect location to consolidate knowledge first thing then branch out into fewer linear features, more pacing and timing. Then onto bearings and back bearings. Love #navigation ❤️
A few thoughts about #TransCambria, approaches and skills. Think about campcraft and navigation! As always, a shout out for Steve @wheelism if you're looking for a bike guide o developing bike skills.

This weekends 'intro to nav' course had great weather. The learners first practice 'seeing' contours so they can 'describe' what they see on the map and land around them. This means they're super happy when they find their first ring contour.

This is a very simplified video about what I carry into wild places when trail running.
I don't discuss navigation, hydration, infection control or pain relief (though I'm really happy to discuss these I'm far greater detail than a short video!).
