@Charonssails @Kirwithdot i understand what you mean but thinking about it in-universe the underground is still absurdly dangerous for a child mainly because of flowey, undyne, asgore etc, and i mean 7 humans did die there.
i just dont buy it how toriel warning frisk comes from resentment of others
@Charonssails @Kirwithdot im confused are u implying that the underground somehow isnt a "human slaughterhouse"? id put fear onto whoever was walking out that door too
@67magacockaway@maikrisyay I could not give less of fuck about toby fox personally interacting with latam lmao, just give countries with a significant part of the fanbase a way to have access to merch, events and translations, again he doesnt need to, but ppl can say it sucks lol
@67magacockaway@maikrisyay Because accessibility through translation is expected nowadays in a globalized gaming spaces, doesnt mean he is obligated to do it, his reasoning for it just sucks, 1. People cannot play fan translations on consoles 2. Fantr often suck and make ppl misinterpret his work anyways
@67magacockaway@maikrisyay There IS a vocal minority that takes it too far and that goes for both sides and they should be called out, the conversation at large though are fans wanting to be recognized, at the end of the day imo toby fox can simply ignore this but i find his reasoning very silly
@67magacockaway@maikrisyay By opening the door i mean if any other language is translated officially the likelyhood of another being made is way higher, majority of the people i see are just frustrated (rightfully so) at a lot of stuff being unaccessible to them, complaining and voicing your concerns works
@LazyNick5 i feel like im going crazy cause it seems its a very vocal minority of people jumping the gun but the majority is very reasonable, at the end of the day toby can do what he wants but people can call him a dork for it (but not push it)
@SnowyF8@maikrisyay i agree theres no space for racism in this discussion from any side, unfortunately i dont think theres a more controlled way to have a community discussion, people should have the right to talk about this even if "it wont change anything", although bad actors should be called out
@LazyNick5 I think any language being localized would bring the chances up of any other too, it would be awesome for people to respectfully voice their disappointment from communities of any country in any continent
@LazyNick5 i have a feeling you got soured out of the discussion because of a few bad actors spouting nonsense, i think most people speak for latin america because they speak for them, not disregarding others languages, or to say that they deserve it first than anyone else
@SnowyF8@maikrisyay then why be upset at communities that do have that sentiment lol? I for one, think more people who dont know english should be able to experience the game. but i do agree a minority of people are getting out of line. also shouting on twitter apparently does work look at his reply
@Tibetskiy1@crowdeacon Latam voicing their displeasure opens the door for every other language to possibly be localized too, i didnt see anyone saying they only want spanish only, organize, speak out within the community of your own country people speak out for themselves because thats what they can do
@LazyNick5 i genuinely dont see this happening outside of cherry picking, latinos are speaking for themselves because thats what they can do, i think that people in other countries should voice their opinion too, why not??
